Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour on Wednesday said in a statement that it will start enforcing the regulated working hours outdoors on June 1,2026 in an effort to protect workers during the summer season.
Outdoor Work Restrictions
Outdoor work will not be allowed between

10:00 am to 3:30 pm

Valid from 1 June to 15 September of the year 2026
Ensuring Worker Safety
The regulation is aimed at:

Mobile App Development Protecting Workers From Extreme Summer Heat

Minimizing risk of having heat stress and the other illnesses associated

Ensuring safety and health at the workplace

Observe Compliance with Heat Stress Prevention Actions
The ministry of labour said that the enforcement of these regulated working hours comes, in line with Ministerial Decision no. 17 of 2021 on heat stress prevention.
The summer work-hour restriction applies annually and is one of the initiatives that Qatar has taken to ensure worker welfare and occupational safety during periods when temperatures are high.
